“Bringing happiness to the lives of the people by marking each hour of the day with the tolling of a golden bell.”
Lord Bafford was a lesser nobleman with strong ties to those above his stature, namely his master Warden Ramirez. He lived in fairly large mansion in Old Quarter and maintained foreign contacts outside the City.

Connections
Bafford had a sister, Lady Olivia. She is buried in Fort Ironwood and is said to have been loved by many people. He also maintained a friendship with Lord Bram Gervaisius. The two would often go hunting together and Bafford introduced Gervaisius to Lady Carina Veloden.
Bafford’s family paid for the Stonemarket Bell and donated funds to help the Wieldstrom Museum purchase the Kurshok Crown.
On the less reputable side, Lord Bafford owned a few illegal gambling houses from which he gained profit, and as a result, tried to avoid paying his taxes to the Baron. Subsequent Hammerite raids, however, caused him to lose profits and perhaps regret that decision.
Dealings
Bafford was the owner of a valuable scepter that he purchased from Grimworth and de Perrin, an importer of exotic antiquities. He was apparently furious when Garrett stole it during the first mission of Thief: The Dark Project.
During Thief II: The Metal Age, Bafford attended the Mechanists’ Party at Angelwatch and received a Masked Servant. Around the time of Thief: Deadly Shadows, he is known to be suffering from gout. Samuel Fogerty writes to Bafford concerning this, and asks for money.
