Broadhead Arrows are the quintessential ‘arrow’, consisting of a simple wooden shaft and pointed metal tip. A proficient archer can eliminate targets with a single shot.
Uses
- Damages almost every enemy
- Pushes buttons and activates switches from afar
- Knocks down unreachable loot
- Tests distant surface types before using a Rope Arrow
- Can be retrieved if they hit a wooden surface
Tactics
Broadhead Arrows are cheap, versatile, and can be found in all sorts of places. The two main things to remember when using them are that your shots will have an arc and their distance and damage potential is determined by how long you pull back the bowstring.
In Thief: Deadly Shadows the part of your target you strike also plays a role in determining damage. The head and torso will maximize your damage, especially when striking unaware enemies.
Though not as effective as Noisemaker Arrows, Broadheads can also be used to distract an enemy, provided they’re close enough to the arrow’s impact.
