Bernard Farkus was the owner of the shop Farkus Functionals where he sold gadgets and tools for aspiring thieves.
Garrett purchased a set of lock picks from him just before the start of the fifth mission in Thief: The Dark Project. Not long after, however, Farkus was shot with an arrow by assassins hired by Warden Ramirez to kill Garrett.
In Thief: Deadly Shadows, it’s revealed that Farkus was later buried in the catacombs beneath Fort Ironwood by his brother and sister.
